About EPDM Rubber
EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene-Diene-Monomer) demonstrates excellent resistance to weathering and ozone, water and steam, with good performance in castor and some phosphate ester based fluids. EPDM is resistant to hot water and steam up to 149°C, Ozone, Silicone Oil and Grease, Phosphate-ester based hydraulic fluids, many cleaning agents including sodium and potassium alkalis and many organic and inorganic acids. EPDM O-Rings Chemical Resistance and Compatibility:
- Hot water and steam up to 300°F (149°C) with special compounds up to 600°F (315°C)
- Glycol based brake fluids up to 300°F (149°C)
- Many organic and inorganic acids
- Cleaning agents, soda and potassium alkalis
- Phosphate-ester based hydraulic fluids (HFD-R)
- Silicone oil and grease
- Many polar solvents (alcohols, ketones, esters)
- Ozone, aging and weather resistant
EPDM O-Rings Not Compatible With:
- Petroleum and mineral oil products (oils, greases and fuels)
